Share the Gifts – Honour the Treaties is established and run entirely by volunteers interested in moving forward the vision of the organization. If you are interested in becoming a Member of Share the Gifts – Honour the Treaties, please complete a Membership Application. There are two types of members:
- Members of the Circle: decision-making members responsible for the ongoing operations and accountability of the organization.
- Friends of the Circle: others participating in the activities of the Circle by becoming a Gifter, hosting a workshop, or building relationships with other Treaty members in your location. We encourage you to come up with your own ideas and share with us.
There are a number of ways to get involved with Share the Gifts – Honour the Treaties. Right now, we are focusing on:
- developing appropriate educational and communications resources
- gathering gifts from non-Indigenous people
- connecting with Elders and Indigenous community members to form a decision-making circle
